Virtonomy team is headquartered in Munich, Germany, and combines an interdisciplinary team of experts in medical engineering, image and data processing, visualization and clinical practice.
Our history
Virtonomy was founded by Dr. Simon J. Sonntag and Wen-Yang Chu in 2019. Dr. Sonntag spent approximately 10 years in the medical device industry and experienced first-hand the challenges of medical device development, regulatory assessment, and clinical practice.
Together with Wen-Yang Chu, they built a team of experts with the vision to replace the use of animals and humans for product verification and validation with virtual patients.
Since its founding in 2019, our Virtonomy team has been participating in various congresses, conferences and events and has received multiple awards in different categories. With years of experience in the medical device development field, AI, and simulation, we pride ourselves in being one of the top digital twin companies.
